Isabel Rial obtained her BSc in Pharmacy (2009), MSc in R&D of medicines (2011) and PhD in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology (2016) from University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Her PhD research was focused on the design, development and characterization of polymeric drug delivery systems. As predoctoral stay, she spent 6 months in 3B’s Research Group, Portugal. In 2016, she moved to United Kingdom to join a postdoctoral post at Queen’s University of Belfast, focused on the development and commercialization of a cutting edge antimicrobial coating for polymer-based medical devices. In October 2018, she got a 2-year grant from the Government of Galiza to carry out novel systems based in poly(pseudo)rotaxanes at COMPASS group. Isabel loves traveling, play and listen to music, attend to music festivals, watch films and tv shows and hanging out with friends.
