Elena is an Italian research fellow and her current work is about the development of magnetically responsive micro-capsular hydrogels for tissue engineering applications.
She received her BSc in Chemistry and MSc in Chemical Sciences from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Unimore). She performed her master’s thesis at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) focusing on the synthesis/characterization of composite biomaterials for bone regeneration and the evaluation of their bioactivity and biocompatibility.
Outside the lab, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, listening to music. She also loves swimming and travelling to new places.
