Miguel obtained his master’s degree in Bioengineering (specialization in Molecular Biotecnology) from the University of Porto (FEUP/ICBAS). Prior to joining the COMPASS group, Miguel gained interest in the fields of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering throughout work developed during his ERASMUS+ internship and master thesis. During his master thesis, developed at i3S he worked on developing microfluidic models to mimic the bone microenvironment. Outside of work, Miguel mainly enjoys playing both sports and music.
