Ana Cunha is a master in Biomedical Engineering (University of Coimbra) with a specialization in Biomaterials. She studied abroad at the University of Groningen and enrolled in different internships during her academic path. During her master thesis, entitled “Targeting senescent endothelial cells”, she worked with organic nanoparticles loaded with a senotherapeutic aiming to target senescent endothelial cells and started an in vitro flow model of a senescent endothelium. Currently, Ana is a research fellow at the COMPASS group, where she is working with bioactive membranes for the treatment of osteoporosis-related fractures. Outside of the laboratory, she enjoys spending time with her friends, listening to music and watching series.
