Max van de Voort has his background in Biomedical Sciences, finishing his bachelor’s degree in 2020 with a thesis on the quorum sensing ability of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus and its effects on the formation of biofilm on medical implantations.
Max is a student from the Netherlands, following both his bachelor’s and master’s degree at Maastricht University. At Compass, he will be focusing on finding a new building block for modular tissue engineering formed from silica glass microparticles and human stem cells, and will write his master thesis on this subject.
In daily life, Max enjoys long distance running and pub quizzing, in which he is especially knowledgeable in a broad range of music genres.
