Ana Pereira holds a Bachelor of Science degree (2021) and a Master of Science degree (2023) in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Aveiro. Throughout her academic pursuit, her interest has consistently leaned towards materials science, specifically emphasizing their potential applications in the field of medicine.
For her bachelor’s project, Ana focused on the development of nanoparticles tailored for the encapsulation and controlled release of anti-cancer substances. As for her master’s thesis, she explored the frontier of regenerative medicine, contributing to the development of nanofibrous scaffolds through the electrospinning technique for potential bone regeneration applications.
Currently, Ana embarks on a new phase of her journey at COMPASS, where she has secured a research scholarship within the SupraLife project. Her work will revolve around the development of supramolecular materials and their application in the biomedical field.
Outside her academic endeavors, she indulges in hobbies such as watching anime and series, reading captivating books, and engaging in games with friends.
