I have a degree in Biochemistry (2022) and a master’s degree in clinical Biochemistry (2024) from the University of Aveiro, with a strong interest in understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying diseases such as cancer and developing scientific approaches to treat them. My master’s thesis focused on ‘Optimization of the production of decellularized matrix to develop 3D tumor models in vitro’ and I am currently carrying out my PhD in Medical Biotechnology, in a business context, at Cellularis Biomodels, and in cooperation with the COMPASS research group and the Erasmus University Medical Center in the Netherlands, in which I will continue to optimize the production of 3D tumor models in order to provide greater potential for clinical application.
