Marta Sousa finished her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2024, at the University of Aveiro. For her undergraduate project, she worked on biopolymer compresses for nitric oxide release in wound healing therapies. She is currently in the final year of her master’s studies in Biomedical Engineering, also at the University of Aveiro. In 2025, Marta joined the COMPASS RG to do her master’s thesis focuses on human protein foams as a new strategy to improve tissue regeneration.
In her free time, Marta enjoys reading, exercising, spending time with her family and going out with friends.
