Nicolau Santos completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology, and in his final project, he studied the degradation of plastic additives by bacteria at the University of Aveiro. He is currently in the final year of his Master’s in Molecular Biotechnology and Bioengineering, also at the University of Aveiro. Throughout his academic journey, he was part of the CICECO Young Scientist Program in the PATH research group, working on the Development of (Bio)Pharmaceutical Delivery Systems. Within the COMPASS group, he is working on his thesis focused on “Clickable” Proteins – Intelligent gelation systems for biomedical applications.
In his spare time, Nicolau likes playing tabletop RPGs and spending time with friends.
