Beatriz Alexandra Rodrigues Caloba completed her Master’s Degree in Biochemistry at the University of Aveiro, where she conducted her research on “Optimizing the production of hPLMA microsponges for cell expansion” for her thesis project, at Metatissue. As of now, she decided to join the COMPASS research group with a research fellowship for the PLANKTON project which focuses on developing microparticles with quantassomes and CaO2 to be internalized by human stem cells as O2 generators, an endeavor that aligns with her strong interest in tissue engineering and biomedical innovation.
Outside of her research, Beatriz values a balanced lifestyle, making time for crafting and connecting with her friends throughout the week, finding these moments essential for recharging.
