Cátia Monteiro graduated in Biotechnology at University of Aveiro in 2016 with a final project based on the development of a platform for enantiomeric resolution of drugs using ABSs composed of ionic liquids. Currently, she is a master student in Molecular Biotechnology and, in COMPASS group, she is working with platelet based gels for the development of in vitro disease models for bone cancer. Besides scientific research, she is a member of the Pedagogy and Entrepreneurship sector of NEQ-AAUAv. In her free time, she likes to stay with her family and friends, practice sports and watch TV series.
