Dora Costa received her Bsc degree in Biochemistry in 2009, and her MSc degree in Chemistry (specialization in Organic Chemistry and Natural Products) in 2011, both at the University of Aveiro. She got her PhD degree in 2019 from the Universidade Federal Fluminense (Niterói, RJ, Brazil). During these 10 years, she acquired a broad experience working with several families of organic compounds with potential biological/medicinal interests, learning their chemical and physical proprieties. Currently, she is a Junior Researcher at the COMPASS group (CICECO – Aveiro Institute of Materials) working in chemical functionalization of biopolymers for tissue engineering.
