Hugo completed his bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology in 2021 from the University of Aveiro with a final project on the topic “Inhibition and disaggregation of beta-amyloid fibrils from Alzheimer’s disease using deep eutectic solvents”. He then went to do a master’s degree in Molecular Biomedicine in University of Aveiro and this year 2022, to write his master thesis in 3D Models of Breast cancer tumor to study the interaction and MSCs and BC cells, he joined our COMPASS research group.
He loves studying diseases of the human body as well as biomaterials and 3D models, so he decided to combine the two aspects in this second year of his master’s degree. In his spare time he likes to travel, play volleyball, watching series and documentaries and a bit of video games too
