Inês Carvalho completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon. During her Master’s thesis, she developed an interest in biomaterials and gained experience in the fabrication of hydrogels for periodontal regeneration. She is currently a Research Fellow in the COMPASS research group, where she continues to explore tissue engineering and biomaterials through the development of fibrillar membranes combined with magnetic nanoparticles.
Beyond her research, Inês values quality time with friends as well as time for herself, often spent reading or sightseeing. She enjoys staying active through exercise and walks, and strives to maintain balance and focus in her daily life.
