Inês Deus graduated in Biotechnology at University of Beira Interior in 2017, after which she started her master’s degree in Molecular Biotechnology at the University of Aveiro. In 2019, she completed her master dissertation as an intern in the startup company METATISSUE, where she developed a novel hydrogel derived from human amniotic membrane to be used as a 3D cell culture platform. Currently, she is working on the chemical modification and characterization of materials produced from extracellular matrix proteins of human origin. Outside of the laboratory, Inês loves to cook and spend time with her family and friends.
