Iuri Machado is a graduated student in Biotechnology by University of Aveiro and is now enrolled in Molecular Biotechnology and Bioengineering Master’s program in the same Institution. Iuri has been working in CICECO-Aveiro Institute of Materials in a Sustainable process of waste valorisation focusing on keratin recovery using alternative solvents. Currently is developing a new keratin-based ink for 3D bioprinting using photoresponsive and conductive Ionic Liquids as part of his Master thesis. Participated in several scientific events and has received 2 awards and/or honours.
Aside his research career Iuri was President of Executive Board of a Junior Enterprise during his master’s first year.
