Kamil Ziaja obtained his Master’s degree in Pharmacy in 2017 from the Medical University of Warsaw, Poland. He completed his master’s thesis at the Department of Toxicology at the same university. He developed his research skills at the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology and the Department of Biochemistry at the Medical University of Warsaw, while also working in the Medical Affairs Department of a global pharmaceutical company. In 2023, he joined the TheraTools consortium as a PhD fellow. His work focuses on the development of in vitro models of the blood-brain barrier and glioblastoma to study new therapeutic approaches for neuro-oncological and neurological disorders. His research is funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Networks as part of the TheraTools project. Privately, he is interested in art history, particularly from the 19th and 20th centuries.
