Kheira Moufida Mouffok completed a master’s degree in biotechnology engineering (2021; Polytechnic Institute of Bragança) and a Master’s in Biochemistry (2020; Moulay Taher Saida University). She is currently enrolled in the Doctoral Program in Agri-Food Science and Technology at Vigo University.
Kheira joined CICECO – Aveiro Institute of Materials at the University of Aveiro as a Research Fellow on the SusPharma project. Her research focuses on the Development of biomaterials manufactured by fully aqueous methods for the controlled release of small-sized drugs. Her scientific background in Biochemistry and Biotechnology has given her extensive expertise in chemical characterization, advanced analytical techniques (UHPLC-MSn), and in-vitro bioactivity evaluation (antitumor, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant assays). Before CICECO, she gained significant experience in the valorization of natural products and the development of biodegradable active films.
Outside the lab, Kheira enjoys travelling for research and engaging in public speaking and oral scientific presentations.
