Lucie Militão holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry (2023) and a Master’s degree in Biochemistry (2025), both from the University of Aveiro. For her master’s thesis, she explored advances in in vitro vascularization using human protein-based hydrogels and endothelial cells in 3D culture systems at Metatissue – Biossolutions. Currently, she is a PhD student at the COMPASS Research Group, where she proceeds to optimize conditions for in vitro vascularization in human protein-based materials.
Outside the lab, Lucie enjoys reading, practicing many sports and going for motorcycle rides.
