Margarida Faria has a bachelor degree in Biochemistry awarded by the University of Aveiro. Currently she is in her last year of the masters degree in Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology in the same university.
The interaction with tissue engineering during her first year in the masters program, both in University of Aveiro and Vytautas Magnus University in Lithuania, has evoked her interest in the subject. Due to this, she decided to develop her master thesis at the Compass Research Group, being her dissertation based in the development of mussel-inspired bio-adhesive capsules to correct tissue defects “in situ”. In her spare time, Margarida likes to go to the seaside, watch movies/series, travel and meet different cultures and people, listen to music and spend time with her friends and family.
