Maria Lazaridou holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. She obtained her Master’s and PhD in Polymer Chemistry and Technology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. During her PhD, she conducted research at Queen’s University Belfast in the Department of Pharmacy, focusing on 3D printing of hydrogels. Her research experience also includes research visits in Austria (Institute of Chemistry and Technology of Biobased Systems, Technical University of Graz) and Germany (Institute of Biomaterials, University of Erlangen-Nuremberg).
Currently, she is a Junior Researcher at Compass group at CICECO. Ongoing projects include the synthesis and characterisation of nanoparticles and cross-linked hydrogels for tissue engineering applications.
In her free time, Maria likes to travel, listen to music, meet her friends and explore new experiences.
