Maria Sousa is a PhD student at COMPASS group. She has been working on the development of micro and nano patterned biopolymeric membranes, based on the layer-by-layer technology, for biomedical and tissue engineering applications. She got her integrated master in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Minho in 2012. Maria enjoys to create her own clothes, to do some fitness-group classes and obviously to spend her spare time with friends and family. Travelling is her bigger pleasure.
