Ricardo Mendes has his background in Biological Engineering, started at the Instituto Superior Técnico of Lisbon in 2016. Currently, he is in COMPASS group to carry out his master’s thesis in minimalistic inorganic approaches towards 3D printed biomaterials, which includes new concepts and assembly of structural units. On an academic level, Ricardo’s interests tend towards tissue engineering, regenerative medicine and biomimetics.
Ricardo is a craft beer enthusiast and homebrewer and has a great passion for martial arts. In his spare time, he likes to work out, listen to music, do volunteer work and spend time with friends.
