Vitor Gaspar Diniz made Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology at Federal University of Paraíba, Brazil, and his Master’s Degree in Applied Microbiology at the Portuguese Catholic University, where he had an opportunity to conduct his undergraduate research on “Metagenomic analyses of pristine, Arctic environments for the risk assessment – evaluation of antibiotic resistance genes presence” for his Master’s thesis as ERASMUS+ Internship at University of Warsaw. As for now, he is currently in a SUSPharma project at the COMPASS research group of University of Aveiro, a pioneering research to develop a contínuos perfusion system the “Soft tubular structures from human derived proteins in full aqueous conditions for controlled release under perfusion, for biomedical applications”, an endeavor that aligns his unique background in biotechnology and microbiology experiences with his strong creativity and interest in Bioengineering.
Outside of his research, Vitor values a balanced lifestyle that blends physical activity and social connection, always making time for reading and gaming with his husband and friends throughout the week, finding these moments essential for recharging and feeding his imagination with new perspectives to archive unique solutions required for the challenge.
