Bárbara Raquel Vieira obtained her degree in Biology (2022) and MSc in Molecular Biomedicine (2024) in the University of Aveiro. During her MSc in, Bárbara investigated synapse formation within the context of neurodevelopmental diseases at the Institute of BioMedicine (iBiMED). Currently, Bárbara Raquel Vieira is a research fellow at the COMPASS research group- CICECO (University of Aveiro), where she is developing oxygen-releasing materials to address one of the most relevant challenges in tissue engineering: hypoxia.
Non-academic interests include rock climbing, yoga, music concerts and Lord of the Rings.
