Beatriz Cardoso completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry at the University of Aveiro and is now pursuing her Master’s Degree in Clinical Biochemistry at the same institution. Throughout her academic journey she was part of the CICECO Young Scientist Program working on osteogenic differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells using vibrational spectroscopy. Beatriz is now integrating the COMPASS group, working on her thesis focused on the bioengineering of 3D in vitro lung tumor models for screening therapeutics at a preclinical level, pursuing her interest in oncology, tissue engineering, and biomedical innovations.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, travelling to new places, spending time with friends, and exploring a newfound passion for enology.
