Cristiana Sousa is a BSc and MSc in Biochemistry from University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (2016) and University of Porto (2018), respectively. During her master thesis, she worked at the i3S/INEB, where she synthesized biodegradable dendrimers and studied them as vehicles of siRNA to neuronal cells. Currently, Cristiana is a research fellow at the COMPASS group, where she is working on the chemical modification of polymers of marine origin with peptides in order to develop complex multilayered biomaterials for bone regeneration. Outside of the laboratory, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, listening to music and watching movies.
